Once in a while even the most motivated of us drops off the wagon and just feel extremely demotivated. The reasons for this is wide ranging and not within the scope of this blog. This blog is about sharing a poem that I employ when the going gets tough and I feel demotivated. I hope someone reading this will find it as useful as I have. So without further ado…………….
Out of the night that covers me
Black as the pit from pole to pole
I thanks whatever gods may be
for my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstances
I have not winced nor cried out loud
Under the bludgeoning of chance
My head is bloody and unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishment the scroll
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my Soul.
I hope this will recharge that motivational fire within you and give you boost you need to march on and succeed no matter what.
